PlaSmart Inc. is a global toy distributor specializing in toys that promote creativity and imaginative play, develop motor and dexterity, skills, hand eye coordination while teaching problem solving skills. PlaSmart introduced its PlasmaCar in 2003 which has been a huge success and is now sold in over 60 countries across 5 continents. For my Holiday Gift Guide this year we have two products from PlaSmart, Drop Shot and Threadz Beanie.
Drop Shot is a strategic game to get to the top, but once you are there you are not safe, you have to survive the last chance drop. Players roll a die to make their way up the ramp to the top and also to determine if they can place a gate or drop a ball from the tower. If you roll the picture of the gate you are allowed to place a gate on any of the lanes, if all lanes currently have gates you can move them to a location of your choosing. Will you place your gate to block another player or will you place the gate to protect you from the Drop Shot, or will you place it behind you to keep you from getting knocked all the way to the bottom? When a player rolls the Drop Shot ball on the die they can drop the ball from the top of the tower. Watch as the ball weaves back and forth and wait in anticipation to see which lane it chooses! Get knocked down to the bottom and you have to start making your way back up again. Once you make it to the top you may think you are safe, think again. One last Drop Shot Ball is dropped from the tower. Will you survive or will you get knocked back down to the bottom? Drop Shot is an awesome fast paced game that we played many times back to back, it kept the kids interest and helps with problem solving skills as they develop a strategy of making it to the top. Drop Shot is suitable for ages 6+ and can be played with 2-4 players.
My 10 year old daughter is at that stage that she likes to be creative. She loves the little hobby kits where she can make her own Jewelry, design her own clothing pieces so I knew Threadz would be a great fit for her. The Threadz sets include bright colored yarns, reusable looms and there are kits available to make a beanie, scarf or purse. Phoebe ran into a couple of situations that she was not sure what to do, but PlaSmart has some great YouTube videos on their website that shows the process very well, plus her and I got to spend a little mother daughter time together making a beanie. Threadz products are suitable for ages 6+.
PlaSmart Toys can be purchased at retailers worldwide and Amazon, pickup a Christmas gift for that special child in your life today that will not only be fun, but also foster creativity and be sure to show PlaSmart some love on facebook, twitter, Pinterest, YouTube and Google+.
