Do you remember Golden Records from your childhood? I do, I had all of the records with the follow along books. As a child I loved to read along to the stories and listen to the music. These were the foundation for my desires to play music as I grew. Well do I have good news to share with you. Golden Records is back by popular demand and I jumped at the chance to be able to share the same stories I listened to as a child with my children. Award-winning producer Tony Shimkin, son of Golden Records creator, Arthur Shimkin is carrying on his father’s legacy and producing these releases.
The first of these releases is Golden Records: The Magic Continues Celebrity Series, Vol 1. This volume is packed with 20 classic songs and stories that combine the digitally restored original recordings of the 50’s and 60’s with the voices of today’s biggest and brightest stars. Susan Sarandon, Alicia Silverstone, Didi Conn and many more bring classics to life such as The Little Engine That Could, Hansel & Gretel, The Story of Goldilocks, Cinderella and Jack And The Beanstalk. This album is the perfect blend of values, quality and timeless classics.
This album, available for purchase on Septmember 4th, can be purchased for $9.99 at the following locations:
Walmart
Select-O Hits
iTunes
We have enjoyed this album so much my two youngest kiddos have to take turns at night because they both want to listen to the stories while they go to sleep. The newest releases and upcoming releases have already been added to their wish lists. What a great way to share in the memories with your children or grandchildren.
Thanks to Golden Records one of my lucky readers will get their very own copy of Golden Records: The Magic Continues Celebrity Series, Vol 1. All you have to do is enter using the raffelcopter below. Good Luck!!!
