We’ve all been there – usually Monday to Friday every week of the year – where we wake up tired, stumble down the stairs in our pajamas all tangled up, the bags under our eyes bigger than this year’s slouch trend, rungs like a panda and hair so messy you look like Monica in The One In Barbados. It’s no fun and something we could all live without, quite frankly.
That’s where we come in, bearing nothing but good news because we have pulled together a list of simple ways to wake up looking absolutely gorgeous.
- Glow Like The Sunrise
If you want to wave goodbye to that pale-faced you that pops up in the mirror each morning and start seeing some color in your cheeks, you need to add a spot of exfoliation and moisturizing to your bedtime routine. Not only will you hop into bed feeling so fresh and so clean, you will wake up positively glowing too.
- Get Off Your Tummy
If you one of those people that sleep’s on their stomachs – of which we used to be one – then you need to toss and turn until you find another comfortable position to sleep in. This is because sleeping on your front is the biggest cause of – dun dun duuuun – sleep lines. Why? Because your head weighs about eight pounds, which means your face gets squashed on one side.
- Smile Like You mean it
Wouldn’t it be nice if you could wake up each morning with a smile that’s a little bit whiter and brighter each time? Well, you can, you totally can. As this post explains in rather poetic prose, just place some teeth whitening strips across your gnashers each night and then peel them off in the morning and, voila, there we have it, a Hollywood smile. What’s more, there are options to suit every person no matter what kind of teeth you have; sensitive, stained, whatever. Or, check out your Dentist in Chicago for some quick whitening solutions
- Hit the Sack Early
Now we know that the modern lifestyle makes this is increasingly hard, but it’s recommended you catch at least eight hours of beauty sleep. Do that and you will find your skin becomes smoother and clearer. Don’t do that, and continue down your path of late nights and sleep deprivation, and you will find your skin starts to look as pale as Dracula’s, worn out like old sandpaper and just a bit urgh. So go to bed early and wake up gorgeous.
- Beauty Up, Buttercup
Before you drift off into the world of slumber, try slathering on some body butter. Not only will you wake up feeling good and smelling good, you will also wake up looking good. The areas that you really want to concentrate on when it comes to buttering up are your dry areas – your knees, your elbows and your heels. If you really want to look and feel slinky then slap a load onto your legs – you’ll be sure to get that smooth and silky look you always see in the magazines.
Good morning, beautiful.
