Spring is here in Tennessee and it is starting to warm up and that means those near 100 degree days are right around the corner. The last thing we want is to have our air conditioning system go out, so for us a maintenance plan for or Heating and A/C Systems is very important. Not only can you extend the life of your A/C system by having regular maintenance performed, you can also save monthly on your utility bills by keep it running at its best. Neglecting necessary maintenance ensures a steady decline in air conditioning performance while energy use steadily increases.
We recently had Jeff from Donelson Service Experts which is just one of the 95 Service Experts offices located across the US. We made our appointment for 8 am on a Tuesday morning since my husband works from home that day and we could both talk to the technician and make sure we knew the state or our Air Conditioning System. Jeff called us at around 7:30 am that morning to let us know he was on his way and arrived right around 8, which was great. Jeff, was a very friendly gentleman, he made sure he wore covers on his shoes when he came in the house and talked with us for a bit before he got started so we could tell him of any issues or concerns we had.
We have two A/C Units in our home and half of the equipment is in the attic and half of it is outside. Jeff made his way to the attic first to check for leaks, take a look at the duct work and also to check out the electrical components that are inside. Jeff then made his way outside and poor Jeff, it started to rain pretty heavily on him, but he kept working on. Our outdoor units are placed right beside our dryer vent, bad design on the part of the builders of our home and what that means is the units suck in all the dryer lint. Jeff did a very thorough job of removing the shields from the units and washing out the coils. These units that are outside are heat exchangers, very similar to the radiator in your car so maximum airflow is a must for efficient operation.
When all was said and done Jeff spent around 1 1/2-2 hours checking out our A/C systems. When Jeff was done he did an excellent job of explaining what he did and any issues he found. In our case he did some testing on the blower motors in the attic which is what pushes the cold or warm air through the house and found they are getting weak so that is something we need to look at getting replaced. Without this inspection and service from Donelson Service Experts we would have a ticking time bomb in the attic waiting to go off on what I am sure would be one of the warmest days of the season. Thanks to Donelson Service Experts we know issues we need to take care of and the Air Conditioning Units have been serviced to give us what we hope will be trouble free operation this summer.

We have the same bad design as you do – our outdoor units are placed right beside our dryer vent too. Our home is over 50 years old. I hope they have designed houses better since then! I really liked the review & all the compliments you gave Jeff. I can’t stand when I have to wait ALL day for a service person to arrive!! So you won me at that statement 🙂
I did a search for this company in IL & they don’t service in this state. BUMMER!
