Maggie Bags Campus Tote Review
*** I am sad to report that Maggie Bags ceased operations on July 15, 2015. I absolutely love my Maggie Bags and still continue to use them and they look as great as the day I received them and their durability is second to none.
I’m a huge fan of purses and totes. I can’t help it, I just love them. 🙂 I love them big because I carry tons of stuff. Of course I don’t want them to be so large that they become a pain to carry. I’ve been reviewing the Maggie Bags Campus Tote in Shifting Sands for the past month. I’m excited to report that it is entirely awesome!
First I want to give you a little information on the tote itself and what Maggie Bags are. This company uses rejected seat belt material to make a wide variety of purses and totes. They are committed to using repurposed material whenever it’s available. You can find out more about Maggie Bags here. As you can see above I chose the Maggie Bags Campus Tote in the Shifting Sands color. I’m a neutral kind of gal so this color was perfect. As you can see it is two toned with the Maggie Bags logo on the front.
This is a view from the bottom of the bag. It contains four nickel plated feet. Ladies we know how dirty the bottom of our bags can get from sitting everywhere we put them. This is truly a great feature. It keeps the material on the bottom from touching whatever is on the floor or ground. Mine has been to the ball field, restaurants and even in my car and still looks clean.
The inside of the Maggie Bags Campus Tote features the signature Maggie Bags purple satin lining. The tote has a nice size zippered pocket inside along with two additional pockets great for cell phones, pens, keys or whatever you carry in your handbag. The top of the bag closes with a nickel plated “Maggie Bags” zipper.
If you’ve been looking for a super durable bag or tote then you don’t need to look any further. I’ve had many purses and bags and this one has by far exceeded my expectations. The bottom is sturdy and doesn’t sag from the amount of items that I put in it. I’ve received several comments about how pretty it looks too. The handles of the tote are long enough that I can wear the tote over my shoulder and slippage hasn’t been an issue. The campus tote is available in ten different colors. Head over to the Maggie Bags website and check out all the different colors and styles they offer.
