One thing we love doing as a family is having pizza night. The kids love making their own pizza, picking their favorite toppings, making their own designs, it is just so much fun. Rustic Crust has everything we need with Ready Made Crusts that are available in varieties such as Cheesy Herb, Italian Herb, plus they have crusts that are organic, gluten-free and sauce packets.
For our review we received three different pizza crusts. We started off with the Cheesy Herb Pizza Crust, seasoned with basil, garlic, parsley and Mozzarella Cheese this crust was great. Rustic Crust recommends brushing the edges of their crusts with Olive Oil which helps it crisp up nicely and really brings out the flavor of all of the herbs. The Sea Salt & Basil Ciabatta would be great toasted and used to dip in marinara or some Olive Oil with an Italian Herb blend, but we also loved using this one just like a regular pizza crust. The Crispy Italian Thin Crust is the perfect traditional pizza crust, that great crisp with the perfect chew can handle lots of cheese and meats and all of the juices that go along with them with no problems. This is what I have in mind when I think of a good NY Style Pizza Crust.
Rustic Crust Sauce comes in a box with three sauce packets. We loved the fresh tomato taste, fragrant herbs of this sauce while it was also not too strong. Our kids are not big fans of tomato based pizza sauce so when we order takeout we usually request light sauce, but as you can see in the pic above we spread a good amount on and they had no problems with it. We made a couple of pizzas with Chicken and Bacon, one with the Rustic Crust Sauce and another with a Garlic Alfredo Sauce that the kids love and the third we added lots of Genoa Salami and Ham, all three were so good.
With all of the choices of takeout pizza chains, we do find it hard to be able to recreate that same experience with products bought from the grocery store, but I would definitely say that is not the case with the Rustic Crust products. We love the family time we get to have making our own pizzas and now we have do it yourself pizza products that we love just as much. Rustic Crust products can be purchased online here or head over here to find a retailer near you and be sure to show Rustic Crust some love on facebook and twitter.
