Margaret “Unsinkable Molly” Brown
OPENS, Friday, January 17th, 2014
By the time Margaret Tobin Brown boarded Titanic at Cherbourg, France, she had already made a significant impact in the world. She and her daughter Helen, who was a student at the Sorbonne, had been traveling throughout Europe and were staying with the John Jacob Astor party in Cairo, Egypt, when Margaret received word that her first grandchild, Lawrence Palmer Brown, Jr., was ill. She decided to leave for New York immediately and boarded Titanic on April 10, 1912.
Want to know the rest of the story? Beginning Friday, January 17, 2014, Board the Titanic Museum Attraction in Pigeon Forge, TN and discover an entire gallery devoted to the “Unsinkable Molly Brown.”
My kids love the Titanic movie and we will be visiting the exhibit in February so watch for another post with all of the details.
** Note the Museum is closed Jan 13-16 for scheduled maintenance and installation of their new Gallery
