You all know how much I love my Yankee Candles. they have fragrances for every season and occasion, they get me through the Fall and Winter months and the Margaritaville Collection they offered this Spring was amazing and now as we transition into Summer they bring us fragrances that remind us of Summer sunsets, flowers and those warm Summer nights.
For my review I chose the Summer Storm and Moonlit Garden, you will find a brief description of all five summer fragrances below. The Summer Storm fragrance contains patchouli and per the description it is just a hint, but I detect it quite a bit in this candle, even smelling it when it is unlit. Patchouli is commonly used in perfumes, but it is also used as an insect repellent which is great, but the fragrance is a little strong for me and I may be more sensitive to it than others. The Moonlit Garden fragrance is very mellow with its bright citrus notes, followed by lilac and finishes with a slight musk fragrance.
Passion Fruit Martini – Sit back, relax and savor a tropical mix of passion fruit, mango, and zesty orange. It’s like a long sip of a true beachside cocktail.
Summer Storm – Like a storm front moving through a forest, this scent tingles with the subtle freshness of eucalyptus grounded with a hint of patchouli.
Sunset Breeze™ – Take an evening stroll on a beach, with scents of tropical fruits moving on the breeze, back and forth just like the surf.
Moonlit Garden – Inhale the full and floral scents of freesia and lilac and a bit of distant citrus, and feel the lush night wrap itself around you in a warm embrace.
Dreamy Summer Nights™ – A relaxing blend of vanilla bean, heliotrope and a hint of woodiness—it spreads the subtle magic of a warm night in soft bloom.
