My husband had previously received an Almost Nothing Case for his iPhone 5 so when he upgraded to a Samsung Galaxy S5 he really wanted the same case so we reached out to Boxwave to see if we could review one. As you can see in the pics above you barely notice the case. My husband does not want any flashy colors or frills, he just wants a case to protect his phone and still be able to enjoy the phone, the Almost Nothing Case allows him to do just that. The case is available in Crystal Clear (my choice), Azure Blue, Coral Pink, Poetic Purple, Lime Green and Smokey Grey. Each case has device specific cutouts, button covers and port plugs. On the front of the case there is a raised edge around the device to prevent it from laying flat on the screen and also can provide a little bumper if you were to drop it screen side down.
The second item we chose to review is the HandiGrip Mount. We love to use Waze when driving so having a mount that allows the phone to be visible and accessible is very important. One of the features that drew me to this mount is the squeeze clamp which allows you to use it with different size phones, some are made just for the S5 or iPhone. With my husband having a S5 and I have a Droid Mini they vary in size greatly , but this mount accommodates both. The biggest drawback about this mount is the suction cup. It does not specifically state that it will stick to textured surfaces, but I was hoping it would. Our dashboards have a light texture, certainly not as smooth as glass, but also not as rough as sandpaper, but no matter what we did we could only get it to stick to the windshield. This means the clamp that I mentioned earlier as being a pro is now sort of a con because it is quite a ways to reach my window in the SUV across the dash and squeeze the clamp with one hand and put the phone in with the other. This also means it ends up being quite a ways away and virtually impossible to reach while seated. If you have a smooth dash or your windshield is close to you, this mount would be ideal.
