We are all familiar with the John Paul Mitchell name in hair care products. Co-founder, John Paul DeJoria revolutionized the hair care industry by banning animal testing on his products over 30 years ago. John’s extensive knowledge in formulating products for hair and skin care have also led to new standards for pet grooming and hygiene products which has led to John Paul Pet and a variety of shampoos, conditioners, sprays and pet wipes. John Paul’s shampoo and conditioners are balanced for pets sensitive skin and their needs and the entire line is tested on humans first to verify their safety and effectiveness for pets.
Several months back I reviewed the John Paul Pet Grooming Pack which includes Waterless Foam Shampoo, Oatmeal Conditioning Spray and a Custom Grooming Brush, I loved it and Nala loved it. When given the chance to review more products from John Paul Pet we jumped at it. The Awapoochi Shampoo from John Paul Pet is a unique formula of Hawaiian Awapuhi extract and our exotic botanical blend that continues to bring back the shine for several days after the initial shampooing by simply brushing. Awapoochi is the only shampoo available with Shine Memory and it is Paraben and EDTA-free, which means it’s also more gentle for your pets. This shampoo has a very mild scent which is great since Nala has skin allergies and we are not sure exactly what triggers them.
During the summer when everything is in bloom, the grass is growing Nala has a bad problem with her feet and ears getting irritated. She will bite at her fit so much to try to stop the itch, her paws turn all pink and look horrible and her eyes get really red and watery. I did not have the Tea Tree Conditioning Spray from John Paul Pet this past summer and I sure do wish I did . The leave in conditioner with Australian Tea Tree Oil, cools and soothes the sensitive skin reducing hot spots, this will be my go to conditioner next summer, see the YouTube video below for more info about this great product.
Another item from John Paul Pet that will be a savior for Nala’s allergies are the Full Body and Paw Wipes. I plan to keep these by the door and wipe her feet every time she comes in since that seems to be where she gets irritated the most. These wipes are enriched with lanolin which helps to replenish Nala’s coat and are ideal for a quick touch up to keep her refreshed in between baths. Check out the YouTube video below for more info about the Full Body and Paw Wipes.
