Nanotex uses nanotechnology to transform the molecular structure of fibers and is used in fabric for apparel and home textiles. Nanotex has numerous advantages, one of them is called “Coolest Comfort“. This technology provides breakthrough moisture wicking and balances body temperature, enhances comfort, retains fabric’s natural softness and allows fabric to breathe naturally. Wrinkle Defense technology built into Nanotex takes durable press to a whole new level, by delivering high-performance wrinkle resistance with significantly less loss to fabric strength. Wrinkle Defense cross-linking structure is longer and more flexible which retains the fiber’s natural flexibility better than competing technologies which means a smooth, neat appearance, better fabric strength and lasting performance.
When these groundbreaking technologies of Nanotex are put into a bed sheet we end up with sheets that help us to stay dry and comfortable all night long, while keep the sheets smooth and strong so they will last you for many wonderful nights sleep to come. Sheets made using Nanotex technology are marketed under different brands and are available in multiple colors (Coffee, Cream, Mocha, Aqua, Ivory and Taupe). Retail stores such as Wal-Mart and Cabela’s carry these sheets, one retailer may have one set of colors and another may have others. I was interested in the cream color pictured above which is sold and branded by Cabela’s.
The thread count for these sheets is only 300, which sounds low, but from what we can tell the lower thread count does not matter thanks to the Nanotex technology. Our previous set of sheets was 600 thread count and felt amazing, I was a little concerned that dropping down to 300 would give them that kind of tarp feeling, you know where are crunchy and crisp, not soft and inviting, but that is not the case at all.
My husband is a hot sleeper and he says he has had no issues with waking up in the middle of the night warm and sweaty so that is great news and the wrinkle defense means our clean set of sheets look great whether or just grabbed them out of the dryer or left them in the basket for several hours.
Also, I must say that I am happy with our Bedjet V3 (as reviewed by Coolandportable.com). It works best when we are too lazy to leave the bed in the middle of the night. We can control the bed climate effortlessly.
