Swiss Colony is America’s Largest Handcrafted Bakery, family owned since 1926. What began as one man making cheese in his basement and selling 50 packages of cheese in his first year has grown to be a globally recognized leader in cheese and food gifts. As I looked through the Christmas Gift section, many items caught my eye. As you all know I am a lover of all things chocolate so I was like a girl in a virtual candy store. There is everything from fudges to truffles, to mini pie slices, everything you can think of covered in chocolate, cherries, pecans, peanut butter, pretzels, my mouth is watering just thinking about this.
After much searching and drooling I decided to try this 3 Chocolate Torte Collection to try this holiday season. Each of these tortes are also available individually, but why not go for it and just get all three? Below is a description of each.
- Chocolate Dobosh: Creamy, chocolate over 15 layers of chocolate Dobosh cream and cake. 1 1/4-lbs.
- Mint Chocolate Torte: Butter creme plus creme de menthe liqueur and cake with chocolate. 1 1/4-lbs.
- Triple Chocolate Torte: Fudge is layered with chocolate cake and covered with chocolate. 1-lb. 5-oz.
Our family loved all three tortes, but I must say the Triple Chocolate was my favorite, you just can’t go wrong with fudge layered with chocolate cake then covered in chocolate. The Mint Chocolate Torte is very minty thanks to the creme de menthe liqueur so you definitely need to be a fan of mint, it burnt my throat a little bit so I found it to be a little strong. This Torte variety would be great for any celebration or the crowning jewel to your Christmas dinner and be sure to check out SwissColony.com for gifts for everyone on your list and do not forget hostess gifts. Beginning December 4th The Swiss Colony will begin the 12 Days of Christmas Deals, get more info here. Queen of Reviews has teamed up with The Swiss Colony to offer these three tortes to one of my lucky readers, just enter below and be sure to show The Swiss Colony some love on facebook, twitter, Pinterest, YouTube and Google+.
