UNREAL candy is the creation of a boy named Nicky, 13 at the time who woke up the morning after Halloween to find that his Dad had confiscated most of his candy. Nicky set out on a mission to prove to his parents that candy was really not that bad for you, he knew that is was not good for you, but was surprised to find out just how bad for us it really was. He found out that a lot of the ingredients in the candy, the hydrogenated oils, corn syrup, artificial flavors and colors were just used because they made the candy cheaper to produce and also helped them last on the shelf longer.
Nicky started calling chefs and was eventually referred to Adam, a master chef in Spain. Once he heard Nicky’s idea he put together a team of chefs from all over Europe in an effort to recreate the worlds favorite candy bars, unjunked. Here are the unjunked creations from UNREAL, The Gimme Ones Chocolate & Candy Shell, The Smooth One Chocolate & Caramel & Nougat, The Double One Chocolate & Peanut Butter, The Loaded One Chocolate & Caramel & Peanut & Nougat and The Nutty Ones Chocolate & Peanuts & Candy Shell.
Ingredients used in UNREAL candy are sustainable Palm Oil, Grass-Fed dairy, Traceable Cacao, candies contain no artificial stuff, no GMOS, no corn syrup and no preservatives plus they are Gluten free.
I was given the opportunity to try The Double One and The Loaded One and they tasted surprisingly similar to their fatty, chemical laden counterparts.
The peanut butter in The Double One was very creamy and nutty with less sugar, calories, the same amount of protein, more fiber and no artificial ingredients when compared to typical peanut butter and chocolate candy.
The Loaded One is rich chocolate filled with silky caramel, peanuts and a creamy nougat. This UNREAL candy also has less calories and sugar, more protein and fiber without the artificial ingredients that its competitor has.
If you want candy without the guilt, reach for an UNREAL candy and indulge yourself. Be sure to check UNREAL out on facebook and twitter.
