Homemade Spaghetti & Meatballs

A few weeks ago we used the 2 recipes below to make the best Homemade Meatball Subs. Tonight we used them to make Homemade Spaghetti & Meatballs, just add your own pasta.

Ingredients

Quick Marinara Sauce

  • 1 (28 ounce) can whole or diced tomatoes with juice
  • 2 garlic cloves , minced
  • 1 shallot , chopped
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Meatballs

  • 1 1/2 lbs lean hamburger
  • 3/4 cup quick oats
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup finely diced onion
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground pepper
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 Tbsp ketchup
  • 1 Tbsp dry parsley

Instructions

  1. Put all ingredients into a large bowl
  2. Mix all together WELL. Use your hands to make sure it is well-incorporated.
  3. Form the meat mixture into balls and place on a cookie sheet lined with foil. Bake at 400 degrees for about 20-22 minutes, shaking or stirring occasionally. Serve with Marinara Sauce over your favorite Pasta.
