Hosted By: Life of a Southern Mom
Sponsored By: Bed & Breakfast on Tiffany Hill
The holidays can be a stressful time for everyone and sometimes we just need some time to relax after the busy holidays. Life of a Southern Mom is really excited to give one reader a chance to win a Gift Certificate for a two night stay in the suites of the main Bed & Breakfast on Tiffany Hill in Mills River, North Carolina. Bed & Breakfast on Tiffany Hill offers a prime location in Western North Carolina on six acres that provides the best of all possible worlds. Hendersonville and its many attractions (theater, vineyards and an aquarium are just a few of the many things to do there) is just 10 minutes away. If checking out Asheville’s foodtopia is on the to-do list, guests are just 30 minutes away. Dupont State Forest – which offers just about any outdoor adventure– is 25 minutes away, and in case travelers need more, the inn is less than 1 mile away from major highways.
The B&B has 7 beautiful gardens that are distinct. The birdhouse garden has a life size birdhouse pavilion, where you can enjoy bird watching or even relaxing reading a good book. Guests can even enjoy an outdoor massage there. The herb garden is a supplement to guests’ morning meals, that is literally garden to table because the daily 3 course breakfasts are designed around what has been planted. There’s also a Circle of Trees, which is perfect to gather with family or friends relaxing or chatting while enjoying nature from the top of a hill.
Spend the day…
- Sightseeing
- Fly fishing in Mills River
- Shopping quaint towns
- Horseback Riding
- Riding Bikes
- Antiquing / Visiting Antique Shops
- Hiking in the Pisgah Forest
- Touring the Blue Ridge Parkway
- Golfing at one of our local courses
- Enjoying the waterfalls of Dupont State Park
- Visiting the Biltmore Estate
The rooms are designed with inspiration from, and named after some of the innkeeper’s favorite southern towns. For example, the Charlottesville Suite has a bust of Thomas Jefferson – who is a Charlottesville native. Because the Madison and Natchez suites are both named after historical, antebellum towns, they each house antiques. Then there’s the Lexington suite – which is horse-themed – and even has a soaking tub that is a trough. Each room also has a book and framed editorial about the town it’s named after.
