Isle of Dogs was founded in 2006 by Dr. Kailas J. Rao with his wife Becky to provide the first luxury dog grooming products to pet parents, grooming salons, and retail pet boutiques. Isle of Dogs offers products tailored to various dog skin and coat conditions and colors, we as humans have a choice in products based on our hair type, why shouldn’t our pets as well?
Isle of Dogs offers several product lines of healthy beauty products, we chose the Coature line for our review. Xena has that wirey hair that is horrible about shedding, it is a constant battle that we fight. We brush her everyday with a Furminator brush that does a good job of getting rid of loose hair, but it is still a constant battle. The Coature No.20 Royal Jelly Shampoo is a protein- based shampoo that rejuvenates the cells responsible for healthy hair growth and helps to increase volume and helps to fight against shedding. After using this product you can expect increased volume, healthy new growth, and an end to dull, lifeless hair.
The No.50 Light Management Conditioner pairs well with the Royal Jelly Shampoo. This conditioner nourishes, protects, and repairs the coat while being light enough to maintain body and volume. It also moisturizes and strengthens without weighing the hair down and is ideal for normal, oily, or troubled skin and helps to minimize dry skin which is great for Xena.
Here the beautiful Xena is after her bath. It can he hard to tell just how well shampoo and conditioner does on dogs without a lot of long, full hair, but as you can see her coat looks beautiful and feels so fluffy and soft. Both the Isle of Dogs Shampoo and Conditioner were great to use. The shampoo lathered very well and was really easy to rinse as I wrestled Xena in the shower and the conditioner smells so good and left no reside behind.
Since Isle of Dogs wants to make sure our dogs are healthy inside and out they also offer a couple of lines of treats to help with inner beauty which we also know affects outer beauty. For our review we received Nutri-Stix which are free from artificial flavorings, wheat and wheat gluten, added salt, refined sugars and corn or soy. What these little yummy to Xena Sticks do contain is nutrient rich, US sourced ingredients and gourmet flavorings. The chicken liver and sweet potato variety we received are a soft and meaty treat protein-packed with chicken liver, sweet potatoes, and peanut butter to promote vitality and help support an active lifestyle.
Xena is enjoying a Nutri-Stix treat after her bath.
