Winning Moves has formed a relationship with one of the largest game makers, Hasbro, Inc., owner of Parker Brothers and Milton Bradley. Winning Moves is always looking for new games and toys to add to their line of products and these new products do not disappoint. With cooler weather right around the corner we will find ourselves staying inside more and there is nothing like a family game night in front of the fireplace.
You probably remember the classic Scattergories games from the 1980’s or maybe you are not as old as I am. It is an awesome party game that the objective is to score points by uniquely naming objects within a set of categories, given an initial letter, within a time limit. Scattergories Categories adds a twist to this classic game by focusing on one category per round and players race to find a unique answer starting with each letter in the category key word, which is related to the category in some way.
BRAINSPIN is an excellent creativity game that encourages players to think outside the box. Open your mind and write down everything you see based on the card in play. No answer is too crazy as long as you can convince your opponents of what you see.
BRAINSPIN is more than just a fun card game. It’s great for
- a non-campy icebreaker
- teaching empathy
- encouraging visual thinking
- showing the power of collaboration
- building a design thinking mindset
Both of these games would be great as a gift or just purchase to play when you have family over for the holidays.
