Stubb’s Legendary Bar-B-Q began in 1968 when C.B. Stubblefield, known simply as “Stubb” opened opened a little restaurant in Lubbock, TX. Over the years Stubb’s grew in popularity and eventually moved to Austin, TX. Everyone from presidents to celebrities stopped in to enjoy what Stubb’s had to offer and in the mid 1980’s thanks to encouragement from friends and patrons, Stubb’s started bottling his sauce. Today Stubb’s full line contains 7 sauces, 5 marinades, 2 injectable marinades, 5 rubs, 4 cookin’ sauces, a moppin’ sauce and a wing sauce to bring a little Texas to your dinner table.
Stubb’s has the sauces, rubs and marinades that you need for the big game whether you are smoking a rack of ribs or making wings (our favorite for wings is the Sweet Heat Sauce)., check out these great recipes below and check out the giveaway that follows.
Sweet & Spicy Slow Cooker Ribs
Ingredients:
2 1/2 lbs baby back ribs
1 large yellow onion, small diced
1 cup Stubb’s Sweet Heat Bar-B-Q Sauce
1 tbsp Stubb’s Pork Spice Rub (optional but recommended)
1 tsp minced garlic
special equipment: 5 qt. Slow Cooker
Cooking Instructions
Using a sharp knife, slice rack of ribs in half so you have two small racks. Generously sprinkle and rub the Stubb’s Pork Rub all over ribs. If you don’t use the dry rub (which I recommend because it’s delicious!), rub your ribs down with a tsp of salt and pepper.
Place both racks at the bottom of your Crock Pot.
Place diced onions on top of ribs in the pot, followed by minced garlic. Finally, pour barbecue sauce over everything.
Place lid on Crock Pot and turn heat to low. Cook for 7 hours—meat should be definitely falling off the bone at this point!
NOTE: serves 3, but recipe can be doubled easily

Slow Cooker Pulled Chicken

1 cup brown sugar
1 medium onion, sliced
1 bottle Stubb’s Original Bar-B-Q sauce
Cooking Instructions:
Lay half of the onion slices in the bottom of the slow cooker. Sprinkle with ½ cup of brown sugar, then top with chicken pieces. Cover with remaining onion slices then pour the Bar-B-Q sauce over the top. Finish with remaining ½ cup brown sugar. Cook on high for 5 hours.
When done pull the meat off the bone and shred. Serve with additional Bar-B-Q sauce (regular or slider buns optional).
