For us the Labor Day weekend is a time of relaxation and spending time with family. We try to unwind, slow the time down and just create great memories. One of the biggest traditions for Labor Day Weekend is getting outside, firing up the grill and taking advantage of those lower temperatures as we head into fall. We love to get the Badminton net out and get the firepit going for a relaxing evening and making some S’mores. We just purchased a new home that has a huge backyard, the perfect place to party and with the new Epson Home Cinema 2040 3D 1080p 3LCD Projector we can turn our backyard into a private, intimate movie theater for friends and family.
When purchasing a projector one of the key features you want to look for is the number and type of inputs. Even if you only plan to connect a computer or DVD player to it today, that could change tomorrow and who wants to have to go and buy yet another projector. The Epson Home Cinema 2040 3D 1080p 3LCD as you can see in the pic above has many available ports. 2 HDMI ports, a VGA port for connecting to your computer, standard video in ports, audio out port and a USB port. As you can see above we are using our Roku stick with the projector and the available USB port means we can use it to power the Roku and not need one more power connection to the wall.
We love that this projector is portable, we can take it out to the backyard for movie night and I also plan to take with me to our homeschool co-op classes this fall when I teach, weighing in at only 6.4 lbs. it can truly be taken anywhere. The menus for this projector are very intuitive I have never setup a projector before and it was a breeze. Settings that you will not find in all projectors such as ceiling and pin cushion are must haves if you ever plan to mount your projector on the ceiling. Since the projector would be mounted upside down, you change the display setting to ceiling and it automatically adjust the display.
If you have ever watched a movie on a projector during the day, you know that you would normally need to have the room pretty much completely dark to get a decent picture. Thanks to the Epson Home Cinema 2040 3D 1080p and its 3LCD technology the picture is great on our bonus room wall which is directly across from a double window that has no curtains, shears or blinds and as you can see the picture quality is still great. The display is full 1080p High Definition and and the contrast ratio is up to 35000:1 which means you get the darkest blacks and not just a hazy grey. For audio the projector includes a built in speaker and if you need more power use the audio out port to plugin to a portable bluetooth speaker like we did for example.
Of course holiday weekends with friends and family means lots of great photographic moments and you can now print lab quality pictures at home with the Epson Expression Home XP-430 Small-in-One Printer, yes I said Small-in-One because this printer is only 15x20x11 and weighs in at only 9 lbs. This printer fits great on a desktop and is not intrusive at all. The large 2.7″ LCD makes setting up this printer a breeze and that includes Epson Easy Connect that allows you to print and share from anywhere using, tablets, phones and more. The Expression Home XP-430 Small-in-One Printer uses four individual ink cartridges so you can replace only the color you need. The paper drawer holds up to 100 sheets of paper and can print at 9ppm in black and 4.5ppm in color. An included SD Card slot means you can Preview, edit and print photos or documents without a PC and you can also scan photos directly to facebook or the cloud for maximum flexibility.
This Labor Day weekend get together with family and friends, unwind, forget about work and create some great memories and allow Epson and its line of entertainment and home office products make it even more special. The Epson Home Cinema 2040 3D 1080p 3LCD is available at an excellent price point at only $799 and the Epson Expression Home XP-430 Small-in-One Printer retails for only $99.
