The history of Bauli began way back in 1922 when Ruggero began as a baker’s boy in Verona, learning traditional Italian recipes and techniques. Throughout the early and mid 1900’s Ruggero moved from Italy to US and then back to Italy. In the 1990’s Bauli introduced the first Italian style ready to eat croissant . Fast forward to today and Bauli has a US headquarters and their products are available in 70 countries on 5 continents.
We received a few of the Bauli Chocolate and Vanilla Custard Croissants to see what we thought and I must say these were very delicious. I was not sure how the quality of a Croissant off the shelf would be. Would they be soft and flaky with that rich buttery taste that I expect from a croissant? The answer is yes, these were so, so soft, like I had just baked them. The pastry has that golden brown buttery finish that you expect in a croissant and the fillings were great. The chocolate filling was silky smooth and the Vanilla Custard was so rich and creamy and Bauli even has some recipe ideas to help you find new ways to use their products.
Pick up some ready to eat, but just like fresh out of the oven Bauli Croissants and share them with your loved ones this Valentines’s Day and be sure to Show Bauli some love on facebook, twitter, Pinterest, Instagram and YouTube.
