The Country Archer story began around 1977 and for years it has been a hidden gem sold mostly at roadside stands. Country Archer makes Beef Jerky from 100% USDA certified grass fed beef with simple ingredients, what you see on the label is what is in the product. Beef Jerky is available in Original and some other out of the box varieties such as Mango Habanero, Sriracha and Sweet Jalapeno. Beef Jerky is a great source of protein, a minimum of 10G in Country Archer’s varieties and they also offer Turkey Jerky made from all natural, hormone and antibiotic free turkeys. We love that Country Archer Beef & Turkey Jerky’s are all natural, grass fed beef is the way to go and we appreciate those high quality ingredients. The flavor of the beef jerky was nice and smoky, although we did find all of them to be quite a bit on the sweet side. Teriyaki we would expect to be, but Original and Crushed Red Pepper we expected to be more savory. The Crushed Red Pepper provided a good amount of heat, but we feel that the Organic Sugar, molasses and Pineapple Juice brings a lot of sweetness to the party and in our opinion kinda overpowers the taste of the smoky meat and other ingredients.
The Country Archer Frontier Protein Bar is an awesome on the go snack that can easily travel in your purse, backpack or even your pocket. Available in Cayenne Beef with Pork, Herb Citrus Turkey and Sweet BBQ there is one for everyone and they contain 20G of protein and as little as 110 calories. We really like the flavors of the Frontier Bars, the texture is a little different than what you will find in those beef steaks at the checkout of your local grocery store, a little softer, not as much of a chew.
All in all Country Archer offers some great snack options that are high in protein, low in fat and calories and are easy to take with you anywhere.
