Eddie the Eagle is a feel good story inspired by true events about Michael “Eddie” Edwards (Taron Egerton), an unlikely but courageous British ski-jumper who never stopped believing in himself – even as an entire nation was counting him out. With the help of a rebellious and charismatic coach (played by Hugh Jackman), Eddie takes on the establishment and wins the hearts of sports fans around the world by making an improbable and historic showing at the 1988 Calgary Winter Olympics.
EDDIE THE EAGLE is a great underdog story that shows even though other people stop believing in you, you should always believe in yourself. This movie is rated PG-13 mostly because of sexual references which the movie could have definitely done without so that it would be PG, but I still feel comfortable watching it with my 10 year, just have to distract him in a couple of places.
EDDIE THE EAGLE is already available on Digital HD and will be released on Bluray & DVD on June 14th and be sure to enter to win a copy here.
I received a complimentary DVD as part of Fox Home Entertainment Insiders for free in the hope that I would mention it on my blog. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
